Our founder Nicolaas Joseph Schils started his grain mill in Amstenrade 100 years ago. At first as a supplier to local bakeries, but after his three sons Zep, Felix and Jan took over the first experiments with calf milk replacer started. These products very quickly became the core business and Schils started to grow into an international company, exporting calves and animal feed all over Europe. The 80's and 90's of last century were a period of rapid growth, making Schils one of the major players in the world of young animal nutrition. Early 2000's, Schils became part of the VanDrie Group, which meant we could keep growing and investing in the future. Last weekend's celebrations were a tribute to this journey.
We welcomed employees, former colleagues, partners, and friends to a festive weekend filled with good conversations, great food, and many memories. It was a moment to look back on our rich history and, just as importantly, to look forward to the future with pride and confidence.
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make these days unforgettable; from our dedicated team to all the guests who joined us last weekend.
Here’s to all of you who’ve been part of the Schils story. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved together and we’re excited for what’s still to come.
